First fratricide in Indian Air Force

In the first fratricide in the Indian Air Force (IAF) a sergeant on Sept. 16 killed his senior at the Kalaikunda Air Force Station in West Bengal, official sources said in New Delhi.



"Sergeant D.S. Rajput killed Junior Warrant Officer (JWO) D.C. Mishra with his service weapon, a machine carbine on Sept. 16 at Kalaikunda," the sources said.



A court of inquiry has been ordered into the incident and the accused has been put behind bars.
